Mrs Summers and Sam (Rise Sports Coach) had the pleasure of taking a small group of Year 5 and 6 pupils to William Edwards School to take part in a Boccia and Kurling competition.  

The children took part in the boccia competition in the morning and performed outstandingly well.  The children topped their group and went on to play in the final where they won GOLD medals.  The children came first out of the 16 schools in Thurrock that took part.  

In the afternoon, the children took part in the Kurling competition where again the children topped their group and got through to the semi finals.  Unfortunately, they lost the semi-final and narrowly missed out on getting to the final and achieving a bronze medal.  The children came fourth out of the 12 schools in Thurrock that took part.  

Well done children - a great achievement, you should be very proud of yourselves! A great day was had by all!
