BackThe Diversity Award Programme
10 Year 6 children had an unforgettable cultural experience this week sponsored by Learning Workz (The Diversity Award programme) to broaden their horizons through diversity and inclusion, reinforcing the importance of understanding and celebrating different cultures through the music of Michael Jackson.
Their adventure took them to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, travelling by train and underground to get there. These included:
- The Tower of London – where they stepped back in time and explored the rich history of the British monarchy.
- China Town – where they embraced Chinese culture, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and unique surroundings.
- Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square – experiencing the heart of London’s lively streets.
- Michael Jackson Musical – the highlight of the trip! The children were mesmerized by the electrifying performance, celebrating the legacy of an artist who broke boundaries and united people through music.
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, opening young minds to the world beyond our school gates. The children will now be sharing what they have learnt by presenting an assembly with Mrs Rodrigues to showcase the important messages of inclusion and diversity to the rest of the school.
